Pulsar Trail LRF XQ50 Thermal Riflescope – Overview

The Trail LRF XQ50 boasts an integrated laser rangefinder capable of taking and displaying target distances accurately, within ±1 m, up to 1000 meters. The laser rangefinder can take measurements in two modes: Single Time Measurement and Scanning. Scanning mode lets the shooter adjust immediately to moving distances for improved shot placement. It has a pixel thermal imaging sensor of 384×288 pixels, 50 Hz frame rate, and 2.7 – 10.8x magnification that allows you to identify your prey at an area of 1,000 meters. Riflescope comes with a high shock resistance factor to ensure that you can utilize it with rifled hunting weapons.

With its high resolution of 640×480 pixels, the smallest differences in temperature are clearly recognized, and the minor details of important object attributes are particularly crisp and sharp. It recognizes big-game-size heat signatures up to 1800 meters away and has IPX7 waterproof protection making sure XQ50 performs well during heavy rain or snowfall and even in submersion in one meter of water up to 30 minutes.

Keep on taking photos and videos while you’re hunting with XQ50’s easy-to-use built-in video and sound recorder. You can store them internally and conveniently transfer to a PC/laptop via a wired connection or Wi-Fi. And in case you forget to press the REC button before shooting, the video recorder can save the moment by setting it to a recoil-activated capture mode. It can store up to three zeroing profiles, with up to five coordinates for multiple firearms, ammunition types, and distances.

The XQ50 includes a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS5, 5 A-h battery pack meant to perform up to eight hours of operation on maximum mode. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs and 3xAA battery cases are also available and provide a perfect off-the-grid power solution.

The Picture-in-Picture function increases accuracy by presenting an amplified image of the reticle area at the top of the display. With only 1/10 of the display area reserved for PiP, the field of view remains virtually clear for concurrent PiP and FOV viewing.
